Don't Box Me In
I write this surrounded by boxes, but not the same boxes I’ve been surrounded by for months. No, these are newer, bigger boxes that obstruct my path to any food source what so ever. Anyone who’s been to our house knows of my affinity for video games and electronics. Displaying them in a useable and aesthetically pleasing fashion has always been a problem. With the help of my personal carpenter, Justin, I’ve built inserts and converted old furniture, but nothing has been ideal. So on December 13, 2004 I posted a question on the Game Trade Zone forum and the answer I would receive would send me on a 9 month quest.

I saw what one collector had done with the shelves and how perfect the games fit and I knew that this was the pinnacle of entertainment centers. It would have the functionality I needed and retain the sophistication of a museum display. And they’re modular! So I can add on as my collection grows which Amanda is thrilled about..
